Senior management appointments at GBM
Kane Ousmane and Dr. Leila Bouamatou have been appointed respectively Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Générale de Banque de Mauritanie. They are in charge of GBM's new strategy.
At the end of 2017, Mohamed Ould Bouamatou, founder of Générale de Banque de Mauritanie, announced substantial changes to the GBM Senior Executive team. Mr. Kane Ousmane, a former Mauritanian minister, was appointed to head the team of Senior Executives, and at the same time, Dr. Leila Bouamatou became Managing Director of the institution. Several Directors retired on that very occasion.
As a reminder, Mohamed Ould Bouamatou was himself Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GBM from 1995 to 2013, before handing over to Abderahmane N'Diaye and Kane Ousmane.
