Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
General Bank of Mauritania remains a highly engaged actor. Through the Bouamatou Foundation, its action is part of the fight against poverty, aimed mainly at improving the living conditions, health and well-being of Mauritanian communities.
The Bouamatou Foundation is particularly committed to improving access to ophthalmic care for needy populations and to help fight blindness and poor eyesight at the national level.
Our efforts extend to other initiatives on a local or national level, in which the Foundation is involved through donations, grants and other sponsorship actions.
Donations, grants and support offered by the Bouamatou Foundation are intended to target the following sectors of intervention:
Ophthalmic care and prevention of visual impairment at the national level
Aid and opportunities for precarious Mauritanian citizens.
Support for initiatives that enable the co-construction of Local Development
Promoting schooling programs in disadvantaged areas at the national level
Encouraging and supporting personal investment towards a greater community.
